What changes for your Max Battles
The Dynamax Trails event runs from Monday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Every Dynamax Pokémon seen in Pokémon GO returns to Max Battles, except Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. A catch after a Max Battle may come with a Special Background.
Eternamax Eternatus on Saturday, November 21
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, Eternamax Eternatus takes over most Power Spots. You can't catch it, but each win earns a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL. This Legendary Pokémon is Poison and Dragon type: Dragon, Ground, Ice, and Psychic attacks hit it harder. During its return, Power Spots refresh more often and give 8× Max Particles. The Max Particle collection limit rises to 2,400.
Remote Raids: from November 20 at 1:00 p.m. to November 21 at 6:00 p.m. PST (from November 20 at 10:00 p.m. to November 22 at 3:00 a.m., Paris time), the daily Remote Raid limit rises from 10 to 30.
Eternatus through the GO Pass
GO Pass: Dynamax Trails starts with the event. It offers an Eternatus encounter, or 100 Eternatus Candy if you already caught one. You can catch it only once, and it needs much more Candy and Candy XL to power up. Our data puts it between 2,435 and 2,530 CP when caught, 3,044 to 3,163 in cloudy or windy weather.
To prepare: claim the Tier 1 rewards of GO Pass: Into the Wild. You'll get a free upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe and early access on Saturday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Otherwise, GO Pass Deluxe costs US$4.99 (or local equivalent). Bought on the Pokémon GO Web Store, it adds 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions. Earn GO Points until the event ends, then claim your rewards before Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The rest: a Spotlight Hour on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time with Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble (shiny possible, 2× Catch Candy), more Power Spots, Max Particles from event catches, Field Research, and stickers. Full details in the official announcement.
