Minior comes to Pokémon GO

Minior, the Meteor Pokémon, makes its debut. You can find it in the wild, in its Meteor Form, during meteor showers. Each Minior you catch gives more Stardust. Its core comes in seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Each shower brings the debut of a new color.

Minior Showers

  • Orionids: October 19 at 5:00 p.m. to October 24 at 11:59 p.m. local time

  • Leonids: November 14 at 5:00 p.m. to November 19 at 11:59 p.m. local time

  • Geminids: December 11 at 5:00 p.m. to December 16 at 11:59 p.m. local time. One color debuts in the Northern Hemisphere, another in the Southern Hemisphere.

  • Later: Eta Aquariids (May 3 to 8), Southern Delta Aquariids (July 28 to August 2), and Perseids (August 10 to 15), at the same times.

Explore by starlight: every shower day, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, shooting stars light up the in-game sky. Minior appears more often then.

In battle, Minior stays in Meteor Form (higher Defense, lower Attack) until its health drops below 50%. It then exposes its core (higher Attack, lower Defense). For now, it only changes form against Team GO Rocket, team leaders, and in the GO Battle League.

One more thing: Minior will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships. Full details in the official announcement.
