Regional forms: Oricorio, Squawkabilly, Tatsugiri
Oricorio has one style per region: Baile in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Pom-Pom in the Americas, Pa’u on islands in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Caribbean, Sensu in Asia-Pacific. The three you can't find at home come by trade.
Squawkabilly (since June 2026): Green Plumage in the Eastern Hemisphere, Blue in the Western Hemisphere, Yellow and White everywhere. It isn't available as a shiny yet.
Tatsugiri only lives in raids: Curly Form in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Droopy in the Americas, Stretchy in Asia-Pacific. For the other two forms, join a remote raid with a host in their region.
Forms that follow the world: Deerling and Castform
Deerling takes the form of the game season in your hemisphere: spring, summer, autumn or winter. Missing one? Wait for its season, or trade. Sawsbuck keeps its Deerling's form (50 Candy).
Castform spawns in the form of the in-game weather: Sunny in clear weather, Rainy in rain, Snowy in snow or fog, Normal otherwise. It keeps that form even if the weather changes.
Forms of place or size: Burmy, Pumpkaboo
Burmy's cloak depends on where it spawns: Plant near parks and forests, Sandy near beaches, Trash in cities. A female becomes a Wormadam with the same cloak (50 Candy); a male becomes Mothim.
Pumpkaboo mostly appears for Halloween and the Harvest Festival, in four sizes; Large and Super Size are rarer. Gourgeist costs 200 Candy, or nothing after a trade, and keeps the size.
Rotom, the hardest
Rotom comes from event research or a GO Pass. Its Heat, Frost, Fan and Mow forms have only been gift surprises at in-person GO Fests, for ticket holders; Wash too, then through anniversary research. A Rotom's form can't be changed.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find every form near me?
Several are regional: Oricorio, Squawkabilly and Tatsugiri change form by continent. A friend who lives elsewhere can trade you one; for Tatsugiri, a remote raid with a host in the right region is enough.
Does evolution keep the form?
Yes. A Winter Deerling becomes a Winter Sawsbuck, a Super Size Pumpkaboo a Super Size Gourgeist, and a female Burmy becomes a Wormadam with the same cloak.
Can you change Rotom's or Castform's form?
No. Castform keeps the weather form it spawned with, and each Rotom form is obtained separately, mostly during in-person GO Fests.
